The Baptist United Church & Hall is a historic structure located in the heart of Lockleys. Originally built in 1906 it has serviced the church community well and has been a safe haven for many people. Unfortunately, the main Church Building has not stood the test of time and is destined to be demolished. However, the Church hall can still be used or developed (subject to council consent) and it has the potential to become a cultural and recreational resource for a new community group or church. The hall has been lovingly cared for over the years and is in very good condition it could be used as performance centre as it is equipped with it’s own stage a fully functional kitchen and male/female toilet facilities. The western wing has three very large rooms that can be used as small conference rooms or offices.

For those who don’t mind a challenge it may also be converted to a unique home (STCC).

Plans are underway to demolish the whole complex but we are offering the current site as is for sale by expressions of interest closing at 5.00 pm on the 17th August 2009 (Unless Sold Prior)

After this date the church and hall will be demolished and be sold as vacant land of approx 984 sqm over two titles. Frontage on Cross Street is approximately 33.61m and frontage on Torrens Avenue is approx 40.84 metres.
