Just as Château de Bagatelle outside Paris is set in superbly manicured and peaceful gardens and landscape, Bagatelle is every bit the stately Victorian Mansion it was named after, only our Bagatelle is set overlooking the bay in Mount Martha. Soothing garden glimpses greet you from many angles and from all verandas.
The entry foyer would be impressive if it were not so romantic. Heavy solid double Victorian doors open to a large foyer where the theme is set of high ceilings with gutter mouldings, ornate plasterwork and classic French mosaic floor tiles. The library includes floor to ceiling glassed in bookcase and built in secretaire. There are four bedrooms, three bathrooms and study/library. All fastidiously designed and finished to a high standard.
Two large living rooms plus a country sized and sun filled kitchen that enjoys garden views. It is an ample size to cater for family gatherings as is the living room upstairs that has often catered for 35 guests around the one table. To ensure all guests are suitably wowed each person enjoys a bay view through one of the seven French doors that grace Bagatelle’s amazing living room. A setting that is priceless and memorable when family and friends gather here.
Throughout the grounds there are many private and peaceful spaces and rotundas to pause and enjoy gardens that are very established and fairly easy to maintain.
